Major Update Abt Myself
it's been a long time since i last blogged...2 mths...n i've been busy doing own things (cant bring myself away from anime when i'm at home) so lazy to update...anyway, since tis IS a blog i'll tok abt today 1st.. today is the 1st day of my OETI course after i've passed out as a 3SG...it's darn boring...listening to tis old geek who goes on n on abt something tt seems like the theory of our BX yet doesnt really concern us n things tt we already noe..got my posting to 42 SAR n was told there's no more stay out.....WTF!! we've been cheated lor..haiz..
so back to more updates..
my last update was some time b4 i went to ROC so shall tok something abt my trip there...was quite pessimistic and really missed home already when i reached there... 1st day we reach already need to do alot of admin stuff n we din get to rest even after the long flight..but by 2nd day we got to taste the 'ji pa' n 'nai cha'..haha..both r nothing u'll get in s'pore...1st wk was actually the toughest part bcos of the 4 day out-field n the feeling was tt there's a lot more days b4 our R&R..
after tt things move on much faster...b4 we know we're already at feng shan doing our live firing...it was the most xiong yet fastest time passing days in ROC...5 days we endeavor the harsh weather..strong winds n heavy rain due to the eminent typhoon plus mud stuck onto our boots n proning in it..basically there wasnt enuf slp either..we had to clean our arms b4 slping n we only had 2-4 hrs slp per day...but somehow things just moved on...seriously, beside some little grumblings here n there we just endured thru...amazing really..considering the way our course works
den we moved on to have our navex n some more out-field..in-between had to do maintainence...n it's actually more xiong than out-field cos of the high standard required...of cos, we also get to enjoy the 'ji pa' while doing maintainence..forgot to mentioned tt the 'ma la ji pa' was the most "shiok!" food stuff there..haha
navex was a 1 day thing but we still bashed thru places here n there although most of the time we walk on pavements..the view there, lung tan, is really fabulous..u can c the other knolls around u..they seemed like a few clicks away but it's actually less than a click..it's really something tt cant b seen in s'pore..we had a little picnic there too..haha
ok, b4 we actually go for our R&R..we already heard of news of the incoming typhoon which kind of dampen our mood but we still maintain optimistic abt it...we had tis end of frame dinner b4 our R&R..the dinner was a simple dinner but it's the after program..haha...we gathered all the empty beer bottles tt we drank n form a contingent of our course den took photos with it..lol...den had karaoke session till rather late
for R&R we went to 'xiao ren guo' or small ppl village n 'liu fu cun' both r theme parks...but 'liu fu cun' is the most exciting 1..haha..i took almost all the more exciting rides except for 1 cos i 'hum'..den on our way to our hotel during our dinner i remembered...the tour guides were like toking abt the typhoon n have to b confined :( but the most bizzare thing was tt their 'ah tao' said things like it's the last dinner they will have together n next time they wun get such chance...den console by saying "dont need to b too sad though..just enjoy tis last meal together"..wth..it's like they're going to die......
anyway, b4 we even reach our hotel..by den it was already drizzling n after we went up n put our stuff den come down...there was already a huge down pour den we just rushed to any nearby 7-11 n stock up on some food stuff...
so we got confined from 1st nite to the 2nd nite...was staying in hotel watching tv cos they have cable there n there's often hooha abt accounting of strength n blah blah...so 2nd nite went to 'xi men ting' n 'shi ling ye shi' nothing much to buy seriously..things were more ex there n could b bought back in sg..but food was more unique..i ate tis 'guan chai ban' which taste like just toasted bread with fillings but den when u start chewing everything together it's a different taste..damn nice...den next day went to places like 'ye liu' where there's interesting rocks formation due to weathering n the coastal effect...den went to watch show with dolphins, seals n etc..guard mounting, 'zhong zheng ji nian tang'...nite time was again tt 2 places...den it was time for home sweet home..
yea, so tis is briefly wat i've been thru for the 3wks in ROC...there were times i missed home n my friends but luckily i brought along the council photo with every1 inside during invest n another of me n some1 i like :X...ya, life in ROC wasnt exactly so simple as described earlier so needed some motivation to keep me going...
and so it's been a mth since i came back from ROC..i've brought back some small gifts for those who sent me off at the airport but hasnt got chance to give it out...just within 1 mth n i went clubbing twice...so unlike me cos i'm no clubber n i've been going out alot with the few councillors...ya, n only them..n i've spent few hundreds ($60+ for fel's bdae gift)...lol... just wonder though y jia shyuan din msg the other councillors abt the dinner last sat...
toking abt tt it's really been a long time since i've seen the other councillors... i really missed them..i missed the last bbq gathering where most of them were around...haiz...i was looking thru the council cd yesterday..my heart was full of emotions n i felt like crying...cant help it cos i missed the gd old days when every1 of us could just for once work together for an event...n going thru army i've seen alot..i really am grateful i got tis experience bcos it's really not easy for 30+ ppl to work together and organise an event plus with such high efficiency...n looking at wat our council now kind of makes me upset..
anyway, i din noe wat was it tt kept me going den but i could never b so motivated again esp now in army...i dunno wat was it so great abt me tt the councillors used to comment...felt something seem to b missing like those ppl i used to work with often for my adhocs...ppl like hsing chieh, xin hui, cheryl n chris..somehow the asthe ppl...angel, ray n ruixiang...dunno y i seldom get to work with ccaco ppl...
anyway, i'm glad to still have such great friends like the toa payoh gang to hang out with often..i know i cant ask for much..but really do miss the rest...hope the coming chalet will bring all of us back together again...
*i cant really b bothered abt the tagboard since there's only a few ppl who know tis blog...wanted to keep it like a secret journal but kind of stupid...i've been thinking alot lately...somethings felt like saying out but cant...so tis is my only place where i can express myself clearly...so i cant give up on tis blog...need to do some revamp to tis blog..
